Pythodd Jazz Room

Rochester
International
Jazz Festival

The Pythodd Jazz Room, named after the former Pythodd Club, opened on January 27th, 2016, on Lake Avenue in the Charlotte neighborhood of Rochester. Owner Tyrone Ashford created the venue as a place to host local jazz musicians, in the vein of the beloved jazz site that once resided in the Corn Hill neighborhood. The club featured food named after famous jazz artists, including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Dizzy Gillespie. Though it had a short run, the club did attract some attention from Eastman School students, and other local jazz artists. The Pythodd Jazz Room is now permanently closed.
